The Kingpin responsible for nearly Rs 2500 crore Crypto Currency scam in Himachal Pradesh, which occurred in 2022, was arrested by the Himachal Pradesh Police on Thursday from Kolkata.
DIG Northern Range, Abhishek Dullar said, “ Milan Garg (35), a resident of Meerut in Uttar Pradesh, was apprehended on Wednesday night from the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport, Kolkata, while he was trying to flee to Bangkok in Thailand.”
He said, “Garg, allegedly involved in designing and marketing of a fake Crypto Currency was later brought to Shimla, earlier he had fled to Dubai after the scam came to light and had returned to India in June and was trying to flee from India when the police arrested him at the Kolkata airport and being brought to Shimla”, he added.
