Larji Hydro Power Project authorities have issued an alert from June 30th of July 1st for opening all spillway gates of the Larji Dam for annual drain out of silt from the dam from 6 am to 6 pm.
Additional District Magistrate Mandi Madan Kumar said, “People living near the dam area and tourists visiting the area are alerted not to go close to banks of river Beas from Larji to Pandoh dam to keep them safe, as this will raise the level of water in the river substantially .”
