Congress candidate from Mandi parliamentary constituency Vikrmaditya Singh has refuted the allegation of BJP candidate Kangana Ranaut for allegedly staging a protest against her at Kaza on Tuesday.
In reply to a question in a press conference at Mandi he said, “She had made a remark against spiritual Guru of Tibetans the Dalaia Lama some time back; since people of Lahaul – Spiti and other tribal areas worship the Dalai Lama as their God the agitated followers held a protest against Kangana Ranaut at Kaza.”
He said, “The Congress party has nothing to do with the protest and if the Congress had to protest against her it would not have been at Kaza but here in Mandi and other places and if someone passes any remarks against their God, they will surely not like it and protest,” he added.
Singh also talked about his visions of development for the Mandi parliament constituency and reiterated to bring Mandi under smart city project , work for the construction of Bhubhu Jot and Jalori Jot tunnels , develop a river front on river Beas, channelization of river Beas etc, |
