Prof. Lalit Kumar Awasthi assumed the charge of Vice Chancellor of Sardar Patel University Mandi on Thursday.
Pro- VC Prof. Anupama Singh, Controller of Examination Sunil Verma and others welcomed Prof. Awasthi.
He was appointed the VC a few months back by the state government and was working as Director of National Institute of Technology Srinagar (Uttrakhand).
A computer science Professor, he has taught in NIT Hamirpur and also remained its acting Director, besides being Principal of JLN Engineering College Sunder Nagar and Govt. Engineering College, Guma.
