The Congress in-charge for Mandi parliamentary constituency, PWD Minister Vikramaditya Singh criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi for “Allegedly misusing investigating agencies CBI and ED to terrorize opposition leaders.”
Singh, who was here to address a meeting of party office bearers at Mandi on Wednesday said, “The release of Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh after six months by the Supreme Court of India on bail as the ED officials couldn’t find a trail of any money exchange against him has categorically proved the agency is being used to keep opposition leaders jailed without any evidence of wrongdoing.”
Taking a dig at BJP candidate Kangana Ranaut, he questioned “Though she is claiming today I am Mandi Ki Beti and would remain with people in their thick and thin, where was Mandi ki beti when people of Kullu, Mandi and other parts of the state were braving one of the worst monsoon disaster and state government was working round the clock to provide succor to affected people and restore normalcy, last year?”
Commenting about indecent remark made against the actress, Singh said, “Indecent remarks against the actress or any women are most condemnable but she is also accountable for making derogatory remarks against other actress; if mud is thrown on others then one is bound to smear and double standards would not work, if you want respect you should learn to respect others”, he added.
He said, “ There is no threat to Congress government in the state and Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, HPCC president Pratibha Singh along with Congress leaders and party workers would work unitedly to win parliament and by- elections for Assembly seats in Himachal.”
