As an initiative to develop Himachal Pradesh into a Green State, the state government has provided E-charging facilities on Kiratpur–Manali highway till Keylong, making it the first Green Corridor of the state.
The Indian Oil Corporation Limited has established seven E-charging stations at Ghandal, Daseran near Darlaghat, Nauni near Bilaspur, Jadol, Ner Chowk Bye Pass, Bhutnath Temple Bridge Kullu and Keylong on the Highway to provide charging facilities for E vehicles.
Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said, “Six Green Corridors will be created in the state covering all important highways of the state and the state government is making efforts to provide E- Charging facilities on all highways.”
The State Government is offering fifty percent subsidy for setting up these stations to private operators, emphasizing the importance of identifying suitable locations for convenient access to charging stations.
The CM said, “Promotion of E-vehicles reflects the government’s dedication to reduce carbon emission and make the state a leader in green energy.”
