The Himachal Pradesh High Court has dismissed the review petitions of former Director General of Himachal Police (DGP) Sanjay Kundu and SP Kangra Shalini Agnihotri.
A double bench of the Himachal Pradesh High Court headed by Chief Justice MS Ramchandra Ra and Justice Jyotsna Rewal Dua on Tuesday hearing the review petitions dismissed the petitions.
The DGP, who was removed from the post of DGP by the state government on the direction of HP High Court and appointed Secretary Aush department, was granted stay by the Supreme Court of India asking him to file a recall application in the HP High Court.
Hearing the recall applications filed by the former DGP and SP Kangra, the Court dismissed the review petitions, it observed there seems to be no need of CBI probe in the complaint filed by a Palampur based businessman Nishant Sharma against the DGP and the state government may constitute a SIT to probe the case and upheld the decision to remove the DGP and SP Kangra from their present positions .
