Himachal Pradesh Cabinet has decided to enhance the marriageable age of girls in the state from 18 years to 21 years.
The meeting presided over by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu held at Shimla on Friday decided to make amendments in the Acts and Rules in this regard.
The Cabinet also decided to give approval to a proposal to engage guest teachers in the education department on annual period basis, fill up 40 posts of Junior Engineers (Civil), 25 post of Junior Technician in PWD, 20 posts of work inspectors in Jal Shakti Vibhag, 7 posts different posts in Revenue Training Institute Joginder Nagar and 5 post in Sainik Welfare department.
It approved to upgrade 50 bedded Civil Hospital Sujanpur to a 100 bedded Civil Hospital and fill 35 posts in the hospital and gave approval to sign a MOU with National Diary Development Board to establish 1.5 lakh liter milk procession plants at Dhagwar in Kangra district.
It approval draft of Mukhyamantri Vidhva Avam Ekal Nari Awas Yojna-2023 to provide Rs. 1.50 lakh financial assistance for construction of the house to widows and single women.
The Cabinet also decided to restructure the state excise and taxation department by creating separate wings for excise and GST collection and also approved Himachal Pradesh Film Policy -2024 to invite filmmakers to the state.
Decision was taken to give relaxation of six months in age to children seeking admission in class 1st in Primary Schools in the state and allow maternity leave of 180 days to female cooks, by the Cabinet .
