14th Annual Day function of Indus Global School was celebrated at Sanskriti Sadan Mandi in which students from sixth to twelfth class gave their performances on Sunday .
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mandi Arindam Chaudhary was the chief guest in the function who gave away awards to students excelling in different fields.
Addressing the gathering on the occasion the DC asked the parents not to put too much pressure on their children to score maximum marks attain first position or adopt a particular career, instead provide them opportunities and give exposure to opt for career of their choice to succeed in life.
He said, “Saving children from stress is very important in present time and parents can play a very significant role in their success and also asked students for time management, besides being creative.”
The Director –cum- Principal of the school Madan Lal highlighted the achievements of the students while presenting annual report of the school.
Earlier, the Chief Guest was felicitated by Chairman of the school Chandan Bhatia.
The students performed folk dances from Gujarat, Haryana, Assam, Punjabi Gidha , Bhangra, Pahari Nati and a skit on the life of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, besides presenting other items.
