Himachal Pradesh Cabinet has decided to give 30 percent reservation to women candidates for recruitment of police constables, besides giving revised approval for filling up 1226 posts of police constables.
The Cabinet Meeting held at Shimla on Friday presided over by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu announced to make provisions for giving benefits to orphans and deprived children through Mukhya Mantri Sukh Aashrya Yojna.
Under the new provisions, every orphan of the state would be entitled to receive Rs. 4000 per month as pocket money till the age of 27 years and extend a marriage grant of Rs 2 lakh to the orphans who have left the child care institutions after the launch of the scheme.
The Cabinet also gave approval for preparing a detailed project report (DPR) amounting Rs 486.47 crore to provide regular power supply in villages of Pooh and Kaza, besides Rs 6.49 to prepare DPR to enhance electrical infrastructure in 32 villages in border areas of Kinnaur and Spiti .
It decided to fill up 40 posts of Agriculture Development Officers, 10 posts of Havildar Instructors in the department of Home Guards and Civil Defence, two posts of Assistant Professor in the department of Nephrology at Atal Institute of Medical Super Specialties at Chamiyana in Shimla, one post of Assistant Professor in the department of Orthopedics at IGMC, Shimla and one post of Assistant Professor in the department of ENT at SLBSGMC, Nerchowk, district Mandi.
The Cabinet gave its nod to open 40 new Urban Health and Wellness Centers in the State for strengthening grass root level primary health care delivery system in the urban areas.
The Cabinet also approved to create Hamirpur Zone of HP State Electricity Board Limited and to establish the office of Chief Engineer Operations at Hamirpur.
