Former Director General of Sikkim Police Sanam Dubke (SD) Negi passed away on Monday night at his ancestral village Podagaru near Bhava in Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh.
A 1987 batch Indian Police Services (IPS) Officer of Sikkim cadre, Negi had come to visit his village a few days back but unfortunately had a massive heart attack last night in his home which proved fatal.
He had come alone and his family lives in Gangtok. His wife and two sons would be arriving today and he would be cremated in his ancestral village on Wednesday.

As many people who studied with him or his contemporaries would miss Negi, I also express my heartfelt condolences to his family as his demise is a personal loss to me he being my good friend; I had also visited him in Gangtok when he was Superintendent of Police East District of Sikkim posted at Gangtok.
