Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said, “The Himachal Pradesh government is yet to receive the first installment of Rs 315 crore towards interim relief from the Central government.”
While interacting with media persons at Sarkaghat after visiting rain affected areas of Sarkaghat on Thursday the CM said, “ Rs 180 crore were released to the state government in June and Rs 180 crore as advance funds due in December (total 360 crore ), besides Rs 189 crore for SDRF so far and no special financial assistance been given to the state.”
He said, “An estimated loss of Rs 10000 crore has been assessed till now and the state government is making every effort to give compensation to every affected person.”
After visiting Matehdi, Baldwara, Maseran and Jukain areas of Sarkaghat Assembly constituency of Mandi district, he said, “Immediate relief of Rs one lakh each would be given to affected families for repair of damaged houses and directed the district administration to make proper arrangement in relief camps.”
Dharampur MLA Chandrasekhar and Mandi DC Arindam Chaudhary among others remained present during the CM’s visit.
