National president of BJP Jagat Prakash Nadda visited rain ravaged areas of Mandi and Kullu district on Friday.
Accompanied by Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur and former HP CM Jai Ram Thakur, Nadda visited Panchvaktra temple on the banks of river Beas, Pandoh bazaar in Mandi district and Bhuntar and Manali in Kullu district to interact with the affected people.
After his visit Nadda said, “The Central government is committed to provide every help for relief and restoration work in the state and has given Rs 180 crore to Himachal Pradesh government as immediate grant and would do everything for rehabilitation and restoring normalcy in the state.”
He said, “A Central government team for on the spot assessment would arrive in Himachal on Monday and the government would grant further funds for relief and restoration work on the basis of their report.”
Nadda said,” The Central government has been in touch with the state government from day one and standing with the people in this hour of crisis and I assure the state government every possible help from the Central government.”
