Priyanka Gandhi, General Secretary of All India Congress Committee, holidaying at her Chharabra house with her mother Sonia Gandhi , visited Rajiv Bhawan, the Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee Office at Shimla to celebrate landslide win in Karnataka Assembly Election after declaration of results on Saturday.
Speaking on the occasion she said, “The victory in Karnataka is a political reply to the politics of hatred and this would continue in coming days too in Indian politics.”
Giving credit of victory in Karnataka to Bharat Jodo Yatra launched by former Congress president Rahul Gandhi, she said, “The victory is the result of hard work of Congress workers and the Bharat Jodo Yatra we have been able to win the Karnataka election.”
Thanking voters of Karnataka Mrs. Gandhi said, “The voters have given a clear message they want a solution to their problems; the voters of Himachal and Karnataka have affirmed the politics of diverting attention from the main issues won’t succeed.”
Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, HPCC president Pratibha Singh, Deputy CM Mukesh Agnihotri and other Congress leaders were present on the occasion.
She also had a stroll on The Ridge Shimla accompanied by the CM and other leaders.
