Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has mourned the death of Naik Arvind Kumar and Paratrooper Pramod Negi, two soldiers of the state, who lost their lives fighting militants in Rajouri sector of Jammu & Kashmir on Friday.
Arvind Kumar was a resident of Maroonh village in Kangra district and Pramod Negi belonged to Shillai area of Sirmaur district.
In his condolence message the CM said, “People will always remember their supreme sacrifice for defending our motherland in the fight against terrorism and assured every help to their families by the state government.”
He also prayed for giving strength to the family members of the soldiers in bearing the irreparable loss.
The mortal remains of Paratrooper Pramod Negi were consigned to flames in his ancestral village with the state and military honours on Saturday where a large number of locals had assembled to pay him homage .
