Himachal Pradesh has registered a growth of 25 percent in the state during the month of February.
Commissioner, Excise and Taxation Yunus Khan said, “The Goods and Service Tax (GST) collection has registered an increase of 25 percent in the month of February with collection of Rs 337 crore.”
He said,” The GST collection in has increased by 21 percent during the current financial year and the department collected a sum of Rs 4933 crore with strict enforcement of tax law, training to staff, capacity building of the staff and taxpayers compliance.”
He said, “As many as 12 lakh e-way bills were verified during this period with collection of Rs 8.18 crore from the violators during road checks and the department is trying to improve voluntary compliance and filing of returns.”
