The Vigilance & Anti Corruption Bureau ( V&CB) Hamirpur has registered third FIR in paper leak case against a suspended employees of the Himachal Pradesh Pradesh State Staff Selection Commission ( HPSSSC) Hamirpur and others for allegedly selling question paper of screening test conducted by the Commission for recruiting drawing teachers .
The third FIR has been registered against a senior assistant of the HPSSSC Uma Azad, her son Nikhil Azad and a candidate Sunita Devi, who was allegedly passed the screening test for the post of drawing teacher (post code 980) on the basis of question paper provided to her by the above employee. Sunita Devi is a neighbor of Uma Azad in Hamirpur.
The matter came to light during investigation of a case registered against the accused for allegedly selling a question paper for the screening test of JOA recruitment by the commission, a few months back.
The HPSSSC had started a process to recruit 314 drawing teachers in May 2022 and a screening test was also held but the recruitment of the drawing teachers was stopped when irregularities surfaced during the investigation.
Uma Azad, her sons Nitin and Nikhil, along with Sanjeev Kumar are already in judicial custody.
The state government had suspended functioning of the HPSSSC after arrests of Uma Azad and others for allegedly selling question papers of the screening test and has recently shut down the HPSSSC.
