Himachal Pradesh has launched a U-Win portal to increase immunity among children. The portal has been started by the government as a pilot project in Solan and Sirmaur districts, which would have complete information about vaccination of both mother and child.
This portal has been developed on the lines of Co-WIN portal and would record data of all vaccination beneficiaries of the state about vaccination from the birth.
Earlier, information related to vaccination was available only through offline medium but this portal is directly linked to labour rooms in order to record exact information and all government and private hospitals would be included with U-win. The beneficiaries will get information regarding vaccination through SMS and get a certificate too.
The vaccination drive has been launched in the state to increase the immunity of children and prevent them from various diseases.
The health of a mother and a child is one of the most important health components and information regarding vaccination schedule along with venue and time through SMS would also be given through the portal. Since the portal is linked at national level too any beneficiary would have option to get vaccinated anywhere in the country.
To get the beneficiary registered in the U-WIN portal, Aadhaar card and mobile number will have to be provided at the vaccination center.
The children are being vaccinated against various diseases like Rotavirus infection, Tuberculosis, Measles, Whooping cough, Tetanus and Hepatitis-B infection which would improve their immunity against various diseases.
The state government has set a target of vaccinating nearly one lakh new born babies and 1.27 pregnant women every year.
As a pilot project, 42 cold chain points of both districts will be covered under the U-WIN portal launched in both Solan and Sirmaur districts.
