Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said, “The state government has been given Rs 42 crore under PM Gati-Shakti scheme under special assistance to states for capital investment- 2022-23 by the Union Finance Ministry.”
He said, “The state government had submitted four projects to the tune of Rs 84 crore for the Central Government Assistance to develop logistic connectivity and industrial development for promotion of industry and internal trade and three projects amounting Rs 42 crore have been sanctioned .”
The CM said, “ One of the flagship project under this scheme is setting up an IT Park at Rakh (Nagri) in Palampur tehsil of Kangra district , besides improving air connectivity since climate in the state is quite suitable for developing IT sector here; the total cost of this project would be Rs 35 crores .”
He has also directed the industries department to increase the size of the park from 250 kanal to at least 1000 kanal to make it economically viable and generate more jobs.
The CM said, “Two other projects which have been approved would be located at Bhud and Baddi and help improve the economy of the area and Director Industries has been directed to identify the sites for setting up IT Park.”
