As many as 38 candidates filed their nomination papers on the fourth day for the Himachal Pradesh Assembly election on Thursday.
Prominent among those who filed their nomination papers are Congress candidates Kaul Singh Thakur (Darang). Leader of opposition Mukesh Agnihotri (Haroli), Bhawani Singh Pathania (Fatehpur), Inder Dutt Lakhanpal (Badsar) , Ram Kumar (Doon) and Sunder Singh Thakur(Kullu).
BJP candidates who filed their nomination papers on Thursday are Bikram Singh Thakur (Jaswan Pragpur), Sanjay Guleria (Jwali), Rakesh Kumar (Dharamshala), Surender Shorie (Banjar), Baldev Singh (Shilai), Balbir Singh (Chintpurni) and Rajesh Thakur (Gagret).
CPM candidates Dr Kuldeep Tanwar (Kasumpti), Kishori Lal (Karsog) and Vishal Shankta (Jubbal Kotkhai) are among other candidates who filed their nomination papers.
Leader of Opposition Mukesh Agnihorti had a narrow escape as the stage set to hold a public meeting before filing nomination papers collapsed while Agnihori was addressing the meeting.
