Four professional trekkers missing in Kullu district since Wednesday have still not been traced as the rescue teams could not reach the mountain peak on Saturday ,where they had gone missing.

A seven member team of trekkers  from West Bengal along with a cook had left  to scale  Mt. Ali Ratni Tibba ( 5,458m) near Malana village but three members including the cook had returned back on Wednesday and reported about the incident . The missing trekkers have been identified as Abhijit Banik (43), Chinmoy Mondal (43), Dibash Dass (37), and Binoy Das (31).

Four rescue teams of mountaineers from Atal Bihari Institute of Mountaineering and Allied Sports and district police have been deployed to trace the trekkers.

SP Kullu Gurdev Chand Sharma said, “It would roughly take 48 hours to reach the mountain area and the rescue teams are likely to reach the spot by Sunday as they have reached the base camp .”
