Himachal Pradesh Government has scrapped the written test for recruitment of police constables in the state after reports of paper leakage.
Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said, “The written test for recruitment of constables in H.P. Police conducted on March 27 in all districts, has been scrapped after certain doubts were raised about paper leakage.”
He said, “An FIR under section 420 and 120 B of the IPC has been registered in this connection at Police Station Gaggal ( Kangra district).”
“A SIT headed by DIG Central Range Madhusudan Sharma has been formed; Commandant 1st IR Battalion Vimukt Rajan, SP Cyber Crime Rohit Malpani, SP Kangra Kushal Chand Sharma and SP Crime Virender Kalia would be other members of the SIT”, he added
The CM said, “The ongoing process of document evaluation has been stopped with immediate effect and the state government is committed to ensure fairness and transparency in the recruitment process; now fresh written test would be conducted by the end of this month, “he added.
