Former Union Communication Minister and Congress veteran Pandit Sukh Ram, who was admitted to Mandi Zonal Hospital on Friday after a brain stroke, has been shifted to All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) New Delhi in the state government helicopter.

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, who is on tour of Mandi district visited Pandit ji in the hospital to inquire about his health today morning, offered to shift Pandit ji to AIIMS New Delhi, after which Pandit ji was flown to New Delhi.  

The Chief Minister said , “ I had gone to the hospital to inquire about health condition of Pandit ji and offered to shift him to New Delhi ; I also talked to Dr Randeep Singh Guleria , Director of AIIMS in this connection,” he added.
