BJP president JP Nadda said,” Works in All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Bilaspur are near completion and now emphases are on appointing doctors and completing the infrastructure to provide better health facilities to people, at the earliest.”
Nadda, a Rajya Sabha Member, after holding a review meeting of AIIMS Bilaspur along with CM Jai Ram Thakur at Bilaspur on Tuesday appreciated efforts of the Centre and State governments for bringing 750 bedded AIIMS institution at Bilaspur, with an expenditure of Rs. 1471 crore.
He said, “Working with complete devotion in service of humanity is a tradition with the doctors of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and there cannot be any compromise with the quality of the institute or potential of the Doctors.”
Nadda said, “Four lane works on Kiratpur-Ner Chowk National Highway are in progress and 47 kms and 750 meters NH would be soon completed, which would reduce the distance and travel time from Garamor to Mandi substantially.”
He said, “Work on Bhanupali railway line to be constructed at a cost of Rs.6753 crore is in progress and acquisition process of land for the project up to Beri has been undertaken.”
Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said, “A project costing Rs 1400 crores has been prepared to restore ancient historical temples of Bilaspur submerged in Govind Sagar Lake which would be completed in collaboration with international agencies in three phases.”
Thakur said, “Bilaspur would be developed as an ideal tourist destination and an Rs 66 crore lift drinking water project to augment water from Kol Dam to AIIMS and Bilaspur town is being implemented.”
