The Leader of Opposition in Himachal Pradesh Assembly Mukesh Agnihotri accused “The state government for invading on the privacy of MLA’s through Personal Security officers (PSOs) attached with them by the police department.”
Leveling this allegation on Thursday Agnihotri said, “The PSO’s attached with MLAs have been directed to report about the movement and location of the MLAs at 7.30 pm daily.”
He said, “This is an intrusion in the privacy of elected members of the house and the state government should not spy on MLAs but keep a vigil on mafia and people involved in illegal activities.”
Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur denying the allegation said, “There is no question of surveillance of MLAs as no orders and directions have been given by anybody; if the members have specific information about any PSO sending messages they should come out with the details and we shall get the matter probed.”
