Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur inaugurated a PWD Division at Thalot during his tour of Mandi district on Saturday.
Addressing a public meeting at Aut he said, “The issue of giving adequate compensation to four lane evacuees would be taken up with the authorities.”
In his address Thakur made several announcements i.e. to up-grade Veterinary Dispensary Kot Khamrada to Veterinary Hospital, upgrade Primary School Dehra Nallah to a middle school, open a Primary School at Rehan, open a wood depot near Nagwain and to give Rs 15 lakh for the construction of different roads.”
He said, “A survey would be conducted for opening a milk chilling plant or milk collection center at Aut for the benefit of people.”
Chief Minister also talked about several achievements of his government during the last four years and lambasted the previous Congress governments for allegedly politicizing sensitive issues.
He said, “The state government is making efforts to build an international airport (Greenfield project) in Balh area which is strategically important and would boost tourism in this region.”
Local MLA Jawahar Thakur and several other dignitaries were present on this occasion.
