Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur interacting with the students stranded in different cities of Ukraine assured them all help from the Central and State government for their safe evacuation to India .
In a video conversation with few students Thakur said, “The state government is making every effort to bring back the students stuck up in Ukraine after armed intervention by Russia.”
The Indian government sent special flights for the evacuation through the neighboring countries but thousands are still holed up in metro stations and bunkers.
He said, “The state government is in constant touch with the Union government for their safe evacuation and a Helpline has also been established for the students and parents and 218 students have been brought home till now while 317 are still stranded.”
The CM said his office is in constant touch the Ministry of External Affairs and advised the students to keep in touch with the Indian Embassy and adhere to the guidelines issued from time to time.
