Himachal Pradesh Cabinet has decided to ease out COVID restriction in the state and hold the budget session of HP Assembly from February 23rd to March 15.
The Cabinet Meeting chaired by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur held at Shimla on Monday decided to open summer closing schools from February 3rd for IX to XII classes, besides opening higher educational institutions, libraries, coaching centres and gyms.
It decided to revert to six days working in government offices with full capacity barring handicapped and pregnant women, allow social gathering of 500 for outdoors and that of 250 in indoor venues’ with fifty percent capacity, normal opening for shops but continue night curfew and ban on langars.
It has decided to recommend to the Governor of the state to convene the budget session of the Assembly having 16 sittings. The budget of the state would be presented on March 4.
The Cabinet gave its nod to Himachal Pradesh Integrated Drug Prevention Policy to curb drug menace and strengthen inter – governmental coordination for better drug law enforcement.
It also gave its approval to engage M/s Krsnaa Diagnostic Private Ltd. Pune, offering diagnostic services at CHC level for conducting 53 free tests, facilitating patients.
The Cabinet gave approval to establish Sub Division Office of PWD at Himachal Bhawan New Delhi, include three sections i.e. Chairi, Gaggal and Rajaul from Gaggal Sub Division to Shahpur Sub Division.
It decided to upgrade Middle School Bahwa in Chachiot to High School, High Schools Magi, Seri Bhatwara and Baghi Bhanwas to senior secondary Schools and open the office of Horticulture Development Officer at Balichowki.
The Cabinet also decided to raise the annual income limit for availing loans of various pension schemes from the social justice department to Rs 50000.
