Himachal Pradesh Cabinet has decided to open schools for the students of third to seventh class from November 10 and for the students of class first and second from November 15.
This decision was taken in the Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur held at Shimla on Monday which also decided to run buses with full capacity.
The Cabinet has also decided to hold winter session of HP Vidhana Sabha from December 10 to 15 at Dharamshala and start Janmanch programme from November 21.
It also reviewed the progress in implementation of Swarnim Drishtri Patra of BJP which has been adopted as policy document of the state government.
The Cabinet decided to constitute a committee under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary with Vice Chancellors of Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla, Cluster University Mandi, and Secretary Education as its members to work out the modalities to set up a State University at Mandi.
It gave its nod to enhance the stipend of PG-MDS students in H P Government Dental College Shimla by Rs.5000 per month from April 1.
It also decided to upgrade Government Middle School, Chet in Mandi High School, fill up 10 posts of drivers in GAD department of H.P. Secretariat on secondment basis.
The Cabinet also reviewed the status and decisions taken by it in the past.
