Himachal Pradesh Cabinet has given its approval to open a University at Mandi named Sardar Patel University and bring Himachal Pradesh (Establishment and Regulation) Bill 2021 in the next session of HP State Assembly in this regard.
The Cabinet Meeting presided over by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur has also approved Draft Electric Vehicle Policy and decided to give subsidy to manufacture electric vehicles in the state, besides establishing private and public charging stations to develop the state into a global hub for electric vehicles manufacturing.
The Cabinet also gave approval to fill up 100 pots of clerks in place of Junior Assistant (IT) in HP Secretariat, additional 50 posts of clerks in anticipated vacancies in 2022-23, 41 post of Kanungo in revenue department, 12 posts in sub tehsil office Kalbog (Kotkhai), 12 post of JEs in Forest Department, 30 post of peons in Prosecution Department, 28 post of Safai Workers in HP Secretariat and 10 posts of sheep shearers in HP Wool Federation.
The Cabinet decided to fill up five posts of Deans and two posts of Directors in Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Himachal Pradesh Agriculture University Palampur.
In order to double the farmer’s income the Cabinet decided to launch Swaran Jayanti Paramparagat Beej Suraksha Avam Samvardhan Yojna to improve nutritional security and income of growers.
The Cabinet gave its approval for procurement, supply school bags under Atal School Vardi Yojna to the school students of first, third, sixth and ninth classes to be procured by HP Civil Supplies Corporation.
It gave its nod to provide a toll fee for the year 2020-21 of Toll Units to compensate for their losses from June to September 2020 and extend the contract of Tata Consultancy Services from May 1, 2020 to April 2022.
It decided to open new sub tehsil Jari and Rey (Fatehpur), to upgrade sub tehsil Junga to a tehsil, open Jal Shakti department sub divisions at Shawad, Churag, Mahunag, Killar and Sach along with creation of posts.
The Cabinet decided to open new Government Primary Schools at Tatari, Fati Gaihra, Ushwash Chask, Sechoo, Tawan, Shoon, Pangi, Rains and Chiral.
It also decided to upgrade Government Primary School Devari to Middle School and start math classes in Government College Kandaghat.
It decided to open PHCs at Saroa, Doongdhari, Khanol Bagra, Charkhari, Seri and Jai Devi, besides upgrading PHC Jamni to CHC, CHC Baldwara to Civil Hospital and opening Health Sub Centre at Dayotha.
It gave its nod to upgrade DS office Nurpur to ASP office and upgrade police post Mehatpur to a police station.
