Himachal Pradesh Cabinet has decided to continue the present restrictions related to COVID behaviour, not to open schools and continue online teaching.
The decision to this regard was taken in a Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur on Saturday in Shimla.
The meeting also decided to amend Himachal Pradesh Buildings and other construction workers Rules 2008 to widen its ambit and include students of the worker’s children from first to eighth standard and give them financial aid of Rs 8400 per annum to boys and Rs 12,000 per annum to students of 9th to 12 , Rs 36000 per annum to students doing graduation and Rs 60000 per annum to those doing post graduation courses, Rs 48000 per annum to students doing diploma courses and Rs 60000 to others doing professional/ degree courses, besides Rs 1.2 lakh per annum to those pursuing PhD course .
It decided to give an amount of Rs 20000 for bearing hostel expense of children of the construction workers and give an assistance of Rs 1.5 lakh to build house for the workers under Pradhan Mantri or Mukhya Mantri Awas Yojna
The Cabinet also decide to start female birth gift scheme under which a FDR of Rs 51000 would be given on a birth of girl child maximum for two girls, to give Rs 20000 on birth of a mentally retarded child having fifty percent disability and give widow pension of Rs 1500 per month.
The Cabinet gave its nod to constitute a Cabinet Sub Committee headed by Jal Shakti Minister Mahender Singh Thakur to work out a formula for giving compensation for land acquired for construction of four lane projects.
The Cabinet gave its consent to open SDM office at Kotli, open new veterinary dispensary at Adhar village in Chamba, SDO office of Jalshakti at Ranital and section at Chamba medical college, Atal Adarsh Vidyalaya at Chanol in Sunder Nagar Assembly constituency, and open a health block office at Rajgarh.
It decided to open primary school in Galang and Sarli villages (Kullu district), upgrade high school Tatwali and Nadholi (Kangra district) and upgrade middle schools Kareri Khas in Kangra to high school, and high school Jalot (Kangra) to senior secondary schools.
Up gradation of primary school Ree Khas (Bilaspur) to middle school, primary schools Jhangi, Dhamgran, Oyal, Kakla all in Chamba district to middle schools was also approved. Consent was also given to upgrade high school Jharmari (Solan) to senior secondary school.
The Cabinet accorded its approval for renewal of State Government’s ‘No Default Guarantee’ in favour of Himachal Road Transport Corporation for availing cash credit limit of Rs. 60 crore for the financial year 2021-22.
It also gave its approval for creation and filling of 15 posts of different categories for the newly constituted Municipal Corporations of Solan, Mandi and Palampur. It also decided that two posts of JE, two posts of Sanitary Supervisors, one post of Junior Draftsman in place of Draftsman, three posts of Data entry operators in place of PA and four posts of JOA (IT) for each newly constituted MCs of Solan, Mandi and Palampur which would be filled on outsource basis till regular post are filled .
It gave its approval to fill up two posts of Himachal Pradesh Administrative Services through direct recruitment by holding Himachal Pradesh Combined Competitive Examination 2021 on regular basis.
It also gave its consent to fill up six posts of Associate Professors in CSKA University Palampur, 12 posts of Junior Technician (Electrical) in Public Works Department and fill up four posts of drivers in Pragpur, Kaza, Baijnath and Ghumarwin in Rural Development.
The Cabinet decided to create a new Division of PWD at Thalot (Mandi district) and Sub Division at Tambi (Sirmaur) and New Development Block at Baroh (Kangra).
