Himachal Pradesh Cabinet has decided to recommend to Governor of the state to convene monsoon session of the Himachal Assembly from August 2nd to 13.
The decision was taken in a meeting held at Shimla on Wednesday chaired by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur.
It also decided to increase the limit of public gathering to 200 in all social and other indoor functions and allow fifty percent gathering of capacity of open places. The COVID appropriate behavior would be ensured by DC’s and SP’s of the respective districts in such functions.
The Cabinet gave its consent to cover all children who have lost their parents due to COVID-19 under Mukhya Mantri Bal Uddhar Yojna and give them financial aid of Rs 1500 per month. It also gave its consent to increase honorarium of ASHA workers from Rs 2000 to Rs 2750 per month.
The Cabinet decided to implement New Education Policy by giving exemption in school internship for diploma course in elementary education for 2018 -2020 batches and entrusting the job of setting question papers from 5th to 8th class to HP Board of School Education and declare their results at cluster, block and district level respectively .
It also decided to keep schools closed for students till further orders and continue online classes, promote first and second year college students to next class, renew admission for new session in colleges in the last week of July and start UG classes from August 16.
The Cabinet decided to create one post of Medical Superintendent in 200 bedded Civil Hospital Nurpur, cover orphaned children and senior citizens above 70 years under Him Care scheme free, buy MRI machine for Tanda Medical College and fill up two posts of Radiographers in Tanda Medical College and fill up one post of Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology in Indira Gandhi Medical College Shimla.
It also gave its consent to fill up one post each of Assistant Professor, Medical Social Worker and Psychologist, two posts of medical officers and five posts of staff nurses in Palliative Care Services, one post of Assistant Professor in Medical Oncology services and one post of Assistant Professor in General Surgery in Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Government Medical College and Hospital, Nerchowk.
The Cabinet gave its approval to upgrade Primary Health Centre Mari in Chamba district to Community Health Centre.
It decided to convert Traffic Police Assistance Room, Kufri in district Shimla to permanent Police Chowki, to construct four additional suites in PWD rest house Rajgarh and create one post of Additional /Joint Director in Fisheries Department at Bilaspur.
