Himachal Pradesh state Cabinet has decided to start inter-state bus service including Volvo buses with fifty percent occupancy and discontinue e-pass for entry in the state from July 1.
The meeting chaired by CM Jai Ram Thakur on Tuesday also decided to change shop opening time from 9 am to 8 pm, allow opening of restaurants till 10 pm, allow functioning of government offices with complete staff, and allow indoor social gatherings with fifty people and outdoor gathering of 100 persons.
The Cabinet approved the formula for calculation of class 12th theory marks on the basis of 10per cent weightage to class 10th , 15 percent weightage to class 11th results and 55 percent weightage to 1st, 2nd terms and pre-board examinations and 5 percent weightage to English subject results and 15 percent weightage to internal assessment. The results of class 12th would be declared by the third week of July.
The Cabinet had decided to give one month’s vacation from June 26 to July 25 in summer closing schools; in Kullu district schools would remain closed from July 23 to August 14 and in Lahaul – Spiti from July 1st to 31st. Online classes would continue and teachers would attend schools in winter areas from July 1st.
The Cabinet also directed education and health departments to inoculate maximum teaching and non-teaching staff by the end of June.
The Cabinet approved to establish new Police Station of State Vigilance and Anti Corruption Bureau at Baddi and open a new division of Jal Shakti department at Sai (Baddi), upgrade Mankot, Kuther, Kega, Ghatta, Sarog middle schools to high schools and Banjwar, Singhdhar and Dhadu high schools to senior secondary schools.
It has also decided to fill up 1602 posts of different categories in health institutions by out – sourcing, extend services of employees deployed for COVID control till September in the wake of possibility of third wave, fill up 25 posts of Assistant District Attorney and fill up 25 posts in sub jail Kalpa .
The Cabinet also enhanced stipend of PG students (MD/MS and DNB), Junior Residents, Tutor specialists and DM/M.ch students of the government medical colleges and dental colleges by Rs. 5000 per month.
It has also decided to double the diet money of sports persons from Rs 50 to 100 at block level, from Rs 60 to 120 at zonal level and Rs 75 to 150 at state level for students participating in sports competitions.
The honorarium of part time water carriers in the education department has also been increased by Rs 300 per month.
