Himachal Pradesh government has decided to extend Corona Curfew in the state till May 31 with ongoing restrictions.
The State Cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur held at Shimla on Monday decided to involve private institutions in the vaccination drive against COVID-19 and asked SDM’s to associate MLAs for treatment of COVID patients under home isolation.
It gave its approval for the excise policy of the state for the year 2021-22 with collection of Rs 1892 crore revenue and extending the 2020-21 financial year till June 2021, approved renewal of retail vends for 2021-222 with a fee of three percent and reduced liquor price.
As per new excise policy low price brands of IML would be made cheaper by reducing duty , allowing transfer of quota with the district and inter district, allow fifteen percent quota of country liquor to manufacture for retail sale, and increase license fee by five percent. New licenses to manufacture ethanol were given, liquor quota of bars have been reduced by fifty percent and license for army canteens reduced. It approved reduction in fees for sub vend and reduced lifting quota of liquor for all stakeholders.
The Cabinet approved to fill up 33 posts in the new Municipal Corporations of Mandi, Solan and Palampur and twenty posts of drivers in the agriculture department. ,
It decided to open sub tehsil at Thakurdwara in Kangra, Telka in Chamba, upgrade Nagrota Surian sub tehsil to tehsil and open patwar circles in Toba Sangwan (Naina Devi) Kharsi and Badol and Rohal (Bilaspur).
It gave its consent to provide approval in favour of M/s R.K.V. Spirit Private Limited at Nalagarh to start a distillery and manufacture ethanol.
The Cabinet gave nod to open a new Division of PWD at Gagal Shikor in Sirmour and open government Pharmacy College in Sulah Assembly constituency.
It gave its consent to fill up 34 posts of Associate and Assistant Professors in different medical colleges through direct recruitment, fill up on post of AP in rheumatology cell in IGMC Shimla and fill up five posts of Professors, Associate Professors and APs in nephrology department at Tanda and IGMC medical colleges. It was approved to install a CT scan machine at Tanda Medical College.
It decided to upgrade PHC Garh Jamula and Patta Mehlog to CHCs, enhance number of doctors to 14 in civil hospital Dehra, and upgrade CHC Dharampur (Solan) to fifty bedded CHC and shift health centre Tattatpani to Savindhar in Mandi district.
