Governor of Himachal Pradesh Bandaru Dattatrey , Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur his cabinet colleagues , BJP leaders across the state and several opposition leaders have condoled the death of Mandi Member of Parliament Ram Swaroop Sharma.
Sharma, who was elected twice from Mandi parliament seat, was reportedly “found hanging from a ceiling fan in his official residence in New Delhi and declared dead in a hospital on Wednesday morning.”
In his message the Governor prayed for the peace of the departed soul and expressed his sympathies to the bereaved family.
In his condolence message Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said, “The demise of Ram Swaroop Sharma has created a void which cannot be filled and he will be fondly remembered by everyone for his simple ways and contribution to the nation and our state.”
CPM Mandi district secretary and Zila Parishad member Kushal Bhardwaj in his condolence message has expressed shock over the demise of Ram Swaroop Sharma and has expressed heartfelt sympathies to his family members.
Sharma (63) hailed from Jalpehar village of Joginder Nagar sub-division and was elected MP from Mandi constituency in 2014 election by defeating then MP Pratibha Singh wife of former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh and again in 2019 parliament election.
