The Himachal Pradesh State Cabinet has decided to start classes in summer closing schools from February 1st for students of class 5th and from 8 to 12 while in winter closing schools these classes would begin after the winter vacations from February 15. The teachers in summer schools would attend the schools from January 27. Similarly, ITIs and Polytechnic and Engineering colleges would also be opened from February 1st. The teaching in government colleges would also begin from February 8.
Keeping in view the decrease in number of COVID patients, the State Cabinet has decided to make optimum use of four makeshift hospitals; the make shift hospital at IGMC would be used as medicine intensive care unit, RPGMC Tanda as communicable diseases/ infectious diseases ward, Civil Hospital Nalagarh as trauma care centre and make shift hospital SLBSGMC Nerchowk as super specialty ward. It also decided to notify Zonal Hospital Dharamshala and DDU Hospital Shimla as non Covid hospitals.
The Cabinet gave its approval to issue letter of intent in favour of M/s RCCPL Private Ltd., Navi Mumbai for mining lease on 599.1935 hectares for extraction of lime stones and mining minerals for cement plant in Kamandal, Kumarla, Gitrata and Aara villages of Chopal Tehsil in Shimla district for a period of three years.
In order to facilitate the early construction of Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru Government Medical College Chamba the Cabinet gave its nod to raze 28 old government structures.
The Cabinet decided to set up women help desks in District Police Offices and police thanas to make police stations women friendly. It also gave its nod to purchase 136 scooters and 136 Desktop Computers to strengthen the women help desks.
It also gave its consent to provide machinery and equipments to strengthen Anti-Human Trafficking Units in six districts of the State i.e. Shimla, Kangra, Kullu, Sirmaur, Solan and Chamba.
It also gave consent to create and fill up six posts of different categories for newly created civil courts at Jhandutta and Jaisinghpur.
