The Himachal Pradesh Cabinet has decided to lift night curfew clamped in four districts i.e. Shimla, Kangra, Mandi and Kullu districts to contain COVID-19 spread and allow coaching classes with fifty percent capacity.
The Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur also passed a resolution to thank Prime Minister Narender Modi and the Central government for approving the vaccine against COVID-19. It also congratulated the PM for being adjudged as the most popular leader of the world for effective handling of the COVID panic.
On the request of the State Election Commission the State Cabinet relaxed the condition of allowing 50 persons in indoor meetings, to outsource nursing staff and recruit medical officers through walk-in interviews in four makeshift hospitals being established for COVID cases.
It also gave approval to start Single Window Empanelment for registration of private hospitals for effective implementation of Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, Him Care Yojana and for medical reimbursement.
The Cabinet has advised Health and Animal Husbandry departments to ensure availability of medicines for avian flu and PPE kits for the staff, besides strict implementation of restrictions imposed by the district administration.
