The State Cabinet in its meeting held on Monday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur has decided to continue with existing Covid-19 SOPs and night curfew in the four districts of the State till January 5, 2021 in view of the pandemic.
It also gave its approval to grant ex post facto permission to operationalize the makeshift hospitals at Shimla, Nalagarh, Tanda and Nerchowk with the cost of Rs. 1.37 crore, Rs. 2.36 crore, Rs. 3.44 crore and Rs. 6.11 crore respectively and give 50 percent of the cost as advance money to CSIR / CBRI Roorki for the construction.
The Cabinet gave its approval to amend Himachal Pradesh Land Preservation Act, 1978 for felling trees from the private land under ten years Pattan programme by empowering concerned DFO’s to grant permission for felling up to 200 trees in place of 50 trees in a year, concerned CCF to allow 300 trees instead of 100 and PCCF to allow 400 trees and state government has been allowed to give permission for cutting of 400 trees instead of 200 in a year under the programme. The concerned authorities would have power to extend the period of felling for one year if felling is not been undertaken after issuing of felling orders.
It decided to create a Pain and Palliative Care Cell at IGMC Shimla in the Radiology Department of the College.
The Cabinet gave its consent to shift office of DIG (Intelligence and Security) from Shimla to Dharamshala and gave its consent to Himachal Pradesh Aero Sports Rules, 2020 with a view to promote aero sports activities in the State by adopting complete safety measures.
It also decided that condemned vehicles of various departments such as Public Works, Jal Shakti, MPP and Power departments etc. lying unutilized be transferred to the Technical Education Department for their utilization in the IITs.
The Cabinet also gave its approval to the recommendations of Cabinet Sub Committee for exclusion of few areas of the State from the purview of H.P. Town and Country Planning Act, 1977. It gave its consent to exclude revenue mohal Palda, Rajour and Chaled in Bharmour Special Area of Chamba district, Bani, Barod, Malga, and Sudharag mohal in Waknaghat planning area of Solan district, Aarda and Manyana revenue mohal of Mandi Planning area.
The Cabinet also decided to fill up 131 posts of different categories in the Rural Development Department through out- sourcing for implementation of Rashtriya Grameen Swarojgar Abhiyan, fill up 25 posts of Junior Office Assistant (IT) and one post of steno typist in Agriculture Department on contract basis, fill up 8 posts of HAS through competitive exam, fill up six post of different categories in Town and Country Planning Department , fill up three posts of Manager Production/ P&I and seven posts of Assistant Manager (QC/P&I) in Milkfed on contract basis, one post of Manager Marketing in Milkfed on contract basis besides creation of two posts of Plant Engineers and one post of computer programmer in Milkfed and three posts of drivers in Ayurveda department .
It accorded its approval to create New Sub Division of Public Works Department at Majheen in Kangra district along with two new Sections at Majheen and Seorbala along with creation of six posts of different categories.
It decided to set up District Forensic Units at Bilaspur, Nurpur and Baddi along with creation and filling up of 12 posts of different categories, create three new patwar circles Kolar, Mishawaka and Sainwala Mubarikpur and a new Sub Tehsil Majra by bifurcating patwar circles Majra and Dhaulakuan in Poanta Sahib Tehsil.
