Five COVID -19 positive patients admitted in Shri Lal Bahadur Shashtri Medical College (SLBSMC) Hospital designated as COVID hospital of the state, have died during the past twenty four hours.
Senior Medical Superintendent of the hospital Dr Jiva Nand Chauhan said, “Pyar Chand (54) resident of village Tardola under Sandhol Tehsil was admitted in the isolation ward of the hospital since November 25 was in a serious condition on a ventilator and died on Tuesday morning.”
The other patients who also died in COVID hospital are Inder Singh (75) of Surah village under Balh Tehsil, Harbhajan Singh (70) of Tarna colony Mandi, Dev Raj (52) of village Chandyal in Balh and Dina Nath (71) of village Marahna in Ghumrien Tehsil.
Dr Chauhan said, “All of the deceased were admitted in COVID hospital after testing positive on different dates; three of them died on Monday evening and two on Tuesday.”
“Two other patients admitted in the hospital i.e. Deepa (25) of Bhardwar under Sarkaghat Tehsil and Ram Kishan (62) of Badagoan under Manali Tehsil, admitted in the Sari ward of the hospital for different diseases also died on Tuesday”, he added.
