The Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur has been tested positive for COVID -19. The information in this regard has been shared by the CM himself through his twitter handle on Monday.
Chief Minister had put himself in home isolation at Oak Over, his official residence in Shimla as he had reportedly come in contact with a COVID -19 positive person during inauguration ceremony of Atal tunnel by Prime Minister Narender Modi.
His party colleague Banjar MLA Surender Shourie, who was present in this programme, had tested positive.
Through a twitter message the Chief Minister shared, “I was under home quarantine for the past one week after coming in contact with a positive person; two days back on observing some symptoms I took a test which has come positive today. I am isolating myself at my official residence on the advice of doctors,” he added.
Chief Minister had also put himself in isolation some time back when one of his staff members was tested positive on coming in contact with a BJP leader affected with COVID-19 from Mandi district.
