The Himachal Pradesh Cabinet has decided to open schools and start classes for students from 9th to class 12, from September 21.
A decision in this regard was taken by the Cabinet meeting held on Friday presided over by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur which gave its nod to open educational institutions outside the containment zone from September 21 as per the standard operating procedure of Union Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of Health and Family Welfare .
The schools would be opened provided the students are willing to take guidance from the teachers for which written consent from their parents and guardian would be mandatory.
The Cabinet also gave its approval to start BSc (Hons.) in Forestry in Government College for Forestry and Horticulture Thunag, in Mandi district from the academic session 2020-21.
The state government has also decided to run HRTC night bus services on several routes.
