The State Cabinet in its meeting presided over by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur on Tuesday gave its approval to appoint 2322 workers in Jal Shakti Vibhag i.e. 718 posts of para pump operators, 162 para fitters and 1442 multipurpose workers to man schemes of the department .
It has also decided to open a new division of PWD at Jhandutta in Bilaspur district and bring three subdivisions of Jhanduta, Kalol and Ghumarwien under the division.
In order to ensure smooth operation of 108 – Ambulance services in the state, the state cabinet has decided to make payment over and above the provisions of concession agreements as a special interim measure and stop gap arrangement to employees of GVK-EMRI by enhancing the take home salary of its employees.
The Cabinet approved amendment in Section 3 of Himachal Pradesh War Awards Act, 1972 for enhancing the grant of War Jagirs from Rs. 5000 to Rs. 7000 annually and also to constitute Shahpur nagar panchayat and upgrade Sarkaghat nagar panchayat.
For giving relief to floriculturists of the state for losses incurred due to the lockdown the Cabinet approved guidelines for providing them financial assistance amounting to Rs Four crore .
It also gave approval to fill up one post of Lecturer (English) in Government Polytechnic College, Sundernagar and one post of Lecturer (Modern Office Practice) in Government Polytechnic College, Rohru.
