The State Cabinet in its meeting held here on Thursday under chairmanship of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur gave in -principle approval to regularize the services of PTA, PAT and PARA teachers, which will benefit about 6500 PTA, 3300 PAT and 97 PARA teachers engaged in various government schools.
It gave its nod for approval of draft Scheme for Interest Subvention on Working Capital Loan for Hospitality Industry to revive the tourism industry in the State. Loans up to one crore would be given to hoteliers under the scheme for four years with interest subvention of fifty percent from the government.
The Cabinet also decided to start a scheme for providing working capital to the transport department, enhance support price of apple under Market Intervention Scheme (MIS) from Rs. 8 to Rs. 8.50 per kg for the year 2020 for which 283 procurement centres would be opened.
It also accorded its consent to procure seedling of achari mango and grafted mango at the rate of Rs. 8.50 per kg under the MIS which will be operative from 1st July to 31st August, 2020.
Similarly Cabinet also gave its approval to provide support price of Rs. 7.50 per kg for ‘B’ grade Kinnow, Malta and orange and Rs. 7 per kg for ‘C’ grade kinnow, malta and orange. The procurement price of galgal had been fixed at Rs. 6 per kg under MIS. This scheme will be operative from 21st November, 2020 to 15th February, 2021.
The Cabinet gave its approval to guidelines for providing assistance for promotion of cultivation of aromatic plants and their processing under the new Scheme ‘Mehak’ launched by the State Government .
It gave its consent to fill up 500 posts of Junior Office Assistant (IT) on contract basis in Education Department through Himachal Pradesh Staff Selection Commission Hamirpur, fill up 42 posts of different categories in Himachal Pradesh State Human Rights Commission, create one post of Convener-cum-Advisor to Himachal Pradesh Nasha Niwaran Board, fill up four posts of different categories in newly created office of Prosecution Department at Sarkaghat.
It decided to give extension for present tenders for supply of food grains and essential commodities for the tribal and inaccessible areas of the State for the year 2020-21 on existing rates and terms.
It decided to enhance the award amount of War Jagir from existing Rs. 5000 to Rs. 7000 per annum to the families of war veterans.
The Cabinet gave its approval to open Primary Health Centre at Gram Panchayat Lech in district Chamba alongwith creation of three posts of different categories to man this Centre.
It also gave its approval to issue Letter of Intent in favour of M/s Hillthrill Agro Processers Private Limited for setting up of winery based on fruits at Badhu in Chachiot tehsil of Mandi district and approval for issuing Letter of Intent to Alcobrew Distilleries India Private Limited for setting up unit at village Kandla in district Solan with an investment of Rs. 65.39 crore.
