The state cabinet in its meeting here held on May 27 under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur appreciated the intensive exercise undertaken by the cabinet subcommittee to ascertain fiscal gap in different departments.
Expressing its concern over the large unspent funds of various departments it directed secretaries of different departments to vigorously monitor the utilization of funds regularly. Public Works Department and Jal Shakti departments have been directed to immediately update their schedule of rates and simplify the procedures including tendering.
The cabinet approved the concept of Portal for registration of people coming back to the state to upgrade their skills and engage them in employment, besides providing them loans.
The cabinet also decided to set up a committee under the chairmanship of Industry Minister having secretaries of different departments to discus likely shortfall of labour in various sectors and setup another committee headed by Social Justice and Power Minister to examine system of sanction of schemes to simplify these.
The cabinet also decided to set up a committee under the chairmanship of ACS Power to evaluate and improve funding leveraged for development.
The cabinet also decided to identify one hospital in each sub division and make a proposal to equip the same in terms of manpower and equipments to create better health infrastructure at lower level.
It decided to regularize the services of all part time water carriers working in education department completing 13 years of service.
The cabinet decided to allow education department to procure and disburse school uniforms through HP State Civil Supplies Corporation Atal School Vardi Yojna for the year 2019-20 to students from 1st to class 12.
It gave its approval to fill up ten posts of statistical assistants in women and child development department through direct recruitment on contract basis.
The Cabinet also gave approval to fill up three posts of different categories in Sub employment office Padhar in district Mandi, consent to start science classes in government senior secondary school, Sari Bhekhali in Kullu district and creation of two posts of lecturers.
