The samples of three out of four corona affected patients admitted in Shri Lal Bahadur Shashtri Medical College (SLBSMC) Hospital Ner Chowk, have been found negative while one patient still has tested positive for COVID 19.
Medical Superintendent of the college Dr Devinder Sharma said, “The samples of four patients admitted in the isolation ward of the hospital were sent for testing to the laboratory of Dr Rajender Prasada Medical College Tanda (Kangra) and out of the four samples three patients have been reported negative for COVID 19”.
The four COVID affected persons were shifted here on April 7 from Tissa in Chamba district after attending Tablighi Mazaar Jammat in Nizamuddin New Delhi.
The SLBSMC has been designated as COVID hospital of the state and an isolation ward has been set up here for specialized treatment of COVID -19 affected patients.
Sharma said , “ The samples of three patients would be tested again on Sunday and if found negative they would be discharged from the hospital, the fourth positive patient seems to be having high viral load and he would be tested after a week” , he added.
He said, “People need not worry at all as we are taking every precaution by following standard protocol of treatment, besides having trained staff and PPE for the doctors and para medical staff.”
Meanwhile, ADM Mandi Shravan Manta said in Mandi district twelve hundred ninety one people have completed the home quarantine period and all of them are in good health.
He said, “Five hundred fourteen people coming from abroad in Mandi district during the last two months were home quarantined as a preventive measure and out of these three hundred fifteen people have completed 28 days of home quarantine.”
