Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said, “Good governance is key to good government.”
He said, “The state government is committed to give utmost importance to governance as maintaining transparency and impartiality in the functioning of the government is the agenda of the state government and taking many steps to fulfill this task.”
He said, “Enforcement of transfer policy for state government employees, not to post officers i.e. IAS, IPS, HPPS, officers of Forest Services, officers working in excise and taxation department, police department, legal department etc, in their home districts and ensure providing services to common man without any partiality.”
The state government has also debarred officers of twenty one categories and officials directly involved in buying and purchase of public property within their jurisdiction of posting to buy land in their or their family’s names within a period of two years of their posting.
The CM said, “We have zero tolerance against corruption and the government will take stern action against erring officers”.
