Himachal Pradesh Cabinet has decided to fill up 500 posts of medical officers- 300 posts through walk-in interviews and 200 through HP Public Service Commission.

The meeting held at Shimla on Thursday and presided over by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur also decided to fill up 880 posts of Community Health Officers under NRHM, 19 posts of dental surgeons and 18 posts in upgraded BMO office Kafota (Sirmaur).

The State Cabinet also decided to lift the ban on transfers for ten days from July 18 to 27 and convene Vidhan Sabha Session from August 10 to 13.

The Cabinet gave its approval to draw a loan of Rs 1098 .89 crore from the Asian Development Bank for Himachal Pradesh Rural Development & Livelihood Project for providing potable water to every household in the state.

The Cabinet gave its consent to create Jal Shakti Circle at Thunag with 24 posts, fill up 26 posts under the department and fill up 25 pots of junior scale stenographers in HP Secretariat.

The Cabinet gave its approval for opening Sub Divisional Offices (Civil) at Rakkar and Kotla Behar (Kangra), opening new tehsils at Kala Amb, Dhamwari, Chirgaon, Samarkot and Chachiyan.

It also gave its approval for opening Cyber Crime Police Stations at Dharamsala and Mandi. 

The Cabinet also decided to start commerce classes in GSS Nishu (Mandi), Sanhal and Dhamandri and upgrade Government High School Panvi and open Ayurvedic Health Centre at Kalatha and Seepur.  

The Cabinet gave its approval to open a new Public Works Department Electrical 3rd circle at Mandi and PWD sub division at Makridi.

It approved opening  PHCs at Chiyuni and Babeli, sub centers at Kanola, Tatiyana, Khadhahan, Shilli Adhog, Suri and Jol, upgrade CHCs Sandasu and Rajpur to 50 bedded hospitals, upgrade PHC Kotla, Amlehar, Bandhera, Rajputana, Badukhar and Gushaini to CHCs, upgrade sub center Jhibi and Jarag to PHCs and upgrade CHC Raison to a 30 bedded hospital.
