Himachal Pradesh Department of Technical Education and Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mandi have signed a MOU to facilitate training and upgrade faculty in government run engineering polytechnic colleges and ITIs of the state to meet the challenge of technological advancement and its application.
The MOU was signed by the Director of IIT Mandi Prof. Laxmidhar Behera and the Director of Technical Education Vivek Chandel.
Chandel said, “The Technical Education Department is upgrading skills for improving quality of training and management of the institute and the department is starting new courses like B.Tech in artificial intelligence and machine learning, besides M. Tech course to better employability of the students.”
He said, “The collaboration with the IIT Mandi would help us in many ways.”
