Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur has directed the Cabinet Sub Committee set up to settle land acquisition issues to thoroughly work out financial implications on account of revised compensation factors.

The meeting of the Sub Committee held on Sunday at Shimla and presided over by the CM apprised him about various issues related to land acquisition for various development projects and four lanes being executed in the state.  

 The CM said, “The number of affected families whose land has been acquired since 2013 for various four lane and other projects must be identified properly to avoid any litigation and unwanted delay in the projects.”

He said, “The matter should also be discussed with the Union Transport and Highways Minister, besides taking up various demands raised by organizations representing the affected people.”

Jal Shakti Minister and Chairman of the Cabinet Sub Committee Mahender Singh Thakur,  Education Minister Govind Singh Thakur,  Forest Minister Rakesh Pathania, Power Minister Sukh Ram, Chief Secretary R.D. Dhiman, Principal Secretary Revenue Onkar Chand Sharma and  Principal Secretary GAD Bharat Khera  were also present in the meeting among others.
