Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur has announced creation of a new police district for Nurpur covering four Assembly Constituencies in Kangra district.
The CM made this announcement during his tour of the area on Thursday. He also laid foundation stones of development projects coasting Rs 163.5 crore in the area, announced to upgrade veterinary hospitals at Sulyali, Jacch, Kherian and Baduhi, CHC Kherian to 30 bedded hospital and PHC at Sukhar, Fattu –de- Baag.
He made announcement to upgrade several schools and inaugurated several buildings and projects in the area. Forest Minister Rakesh Pathania accompanied the Chief Minister during his tour.
Industries Minister Bikram Singh Thakur, Rajya Sabha MP Indu Goswami, MLAs Arjun Thakur, Ravinder Dhiman, Rita Dhiman, Arun Mehra, Rajesh Thakur among others were present on this occasion.
